Steven Paro: Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I have been helping people help themselves to a better life for 43 years and have returned to my first love: that being private practice. I also have been a speaker/trainer in the areas of alcohol and drug addiction having been on the faculty of what was previously known as the Onondaga Council on Alcoholism having done several 6 week-long trainings for them on the disease of addiction, group therapy and treatment planning for alcohol and drug addiction. I have spoken at Binghamton University, Syracuse University to both undergraduates and graduate students.

I have recently been certified as a clinical trauma specialist and have had extensive training and experience regarding autism spectrum disorders. I have participated in the use of EMDR and many of the self-help techniques with this modality which my clients have found extremely useful. I pride myself on staying up to date on best practices for all of the above as well as in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders.
